No Excuses Detox – Cookbook

A staple of ours from this book is her Italian Dressing. I’m the type that likes a little lettuce with my dressing (I’ve even been known to pour bbq sauce on my lettuce, which says lettuce is really just the vehicle for other things) and I’ve struggled for years to find a homemade version I like. This one is amazing. Its base is olive oil and raw apple cider vinegar. Due to the probiotic nature of raw apple cider vinegar, this dressing’s detox properties are elevated. With only ½ tsp of raw honey, there is no noticeable sweetness to this dressing and ¼ cup of added Pecorino Romano cheese adds complexity to the flavor and texture.
I’ve even used this as a marinade, a dip for veggies and in moments of weakness, I’ve even taken swigs straight from the bottle!
