Real Food. Real Kitchen. A Cookbook by Kari Newsom
Outside of scouring the internet for recipes that fit what I feel like making at the moment or fit what I have in hand, our “go-to” cookbooks over the last couple of years are hard to beat when it comes to flavor, convenience, and family-friendly offerings. The first one to which we gravitate is Real Food. Real Kitchen. by Kari Newsom. If you happen to grab the first edition, you’ll be a bit of an editor, as it has quite a few mistakes. Plus, it’s no frills and doesn’t wow you from a marketing stance. BUT, it does offer some amazing recipes. Creamy Cheesy Potato Soup, Creamy Veggie Enchiladas, Farm Style Chicken Pot Pie, Mini Crunchy Taco Cups, Probiotic Summer Sun Pickles, Crispy Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries. These are high on our circulation list with 20 others I have ear-marked that keeps begging to be made.
