It’s never too late to have the smile you’ve always wanted. Advancements in dentistry today allow us to make dull teeth whiter, close gaps, smooth chips, even improve the look of crooked teeth, all without pain or braces. A gorgeous smile with straight, sparkling white teeth can boost your confidence and drastically improve your appearance.

Cosmetic Dentistry relates to more than just the Aesthetics
(Aesthetic or Esthetic / -noun,-ad / \es-ˈthe-tik / 1. Concerned with notions such as beautiful and the ugly 2. A work of value 3. Philosophy of beauty).

The physical act of smiling actually improves your health by releasing endorphins.  These endorphins decrease blood pressure, reduce the stress hormone cortisol, make us feel happier and improve self-esteem.  As an added benefit, a smile can even bring joy to others.  People may even want to spend time with you 😉

With the following Cosmetic Procedures we offer at Origin Dental Wellness, you’ll work your way towards looking and feeling younger while sharing a confident and natural smile that is truly healthy and improving your overall health.  Advancements in dentistry today allow us to make dull teeth whiter, close gaps, smooth chips and even improve the look of crooked teeth.  All without pain or braces.

With today’s advancements in technology coupled with what we know about mercury, no longer should you have to suffer with the detrimental effects of failing mercury fillings.  Eliminate the dark, black appearance in your teeth from failing mercury fillings with state-of-the-art, tooth-colored materials.

Not only are we mercury free, but more importantly, we are mercury safe.  The team at Origin Dental Wellness follows the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology’s protocols to keep you from being exposed to high levels of mercury that are released during the removal process. This is all part of our holistic dentistry philosophy intended to keep you as healthy as can be.
Dr. Toler and her team follow protocol recommendations for amalgam removal known as the Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique (SMART). These steps ensure the best possible protection for all involved during the removal of mercury fillings.

Among the least invasive procedures, bonding is the application of a tooth-colored resin (composite) directly to the tooth.  Bonding is a common solution for:

  • Fixing or repairing chipped or cracked teeth
  • Reducing unsightly gaps or spaces between teeth
  • Hiding discoloration or faded areas on the tooth’s surface
  • Improving the appearance of your teeth and enhancing your smile

Advantages and Disadvantages of Composite Bonding:

  • It is a one-visit process, which typically takes about an hour, but can be longer if we are beautifying a number of teeth
  • Most often it does not reduce the tooth’s original structure and most people find it quite affordable.
  • Composite veneers are beautifully matched to the natural color of your teeth.
  • Composite bonds are not as durable and long-lasting as porcelain veneers or crowns and may need to be re-touched or replaced in the future.
  • Cosmetic bonding is not painful as it is performed without the need for anesthetic.
  • Composite bonding can cause teeth to absorb stain and therefore requires proper care and regular cleaning.

Made in our office and in one appointment!  Dental porcelain can be sculpted to closely replicate the look of natural tooth enamel, while giving desired strength and resilience. Porcelain crowns are an excellent choice when recreating the form and function of a damaged tooth because a crown basically replaces the entire external portion of the tooth down to the gum level.  Also, it is important that no base metals are used in the crown that may be biologically inflammatory to the gum tissue.  All porcelain crowns made with the CEREC technology have no metals.

At Origin Dental Wellness, our entire team has extensive knowledge and advanced training with CEREC same day crowns.  The process is fascinating to watch and you’ll have a ringside seat while your crown is milled chair-side.

You’ll be spared the discomfort of conventional impression trays with gooey impression materials, as well as the awkwardness of having a temporary crown for three weeks.  Utilizing a powder-free color oral camera, we will be able to get a precise 3D image of the location for your new crown.  After analyzing the complete scan, our team and CEREC’s capabilities will design your restoration crown offering you the highest quality of aesthetics.

Inlays and Onlays are indirect restorations made of porcelain or a porcelain/composite hybrid that can be used to help an otherwise healthy tooth with a large filling.  Inlays are placed within the grooves between the cusps (points) of a tooth, whereas onlays are placed within the grooves and over the cusp tips.  Inlays and Onlays can be used to replace old fillings and are more aesthetically pleasing because they can be made to match a tooth’s natural color.  Aside from improving a tooth’s appearance, inlays and onlays can strengthen the structure of a tooth because of their durability and longevity.

Veneers are a great alternative to more complicated dental procedures to significantly enhance the appearance of your smile.  Plus, they are a less invasive method to correct some of the more common smile detractors such as:

  • Gaps Between Teeth
  • Stained or Discolored Teeth
  • Chipped or Broken Teeth
  • Crooked or Misshapen Teeth

Veneers, also known as laminates, are ultra thin porcelain coverings that we permanently bond to your existing teeth.  This makes them very durable with a natural appeal that will give you the confidence to smile big.  Subtle or dramatic changes to your smile can be achieved with veneers and they can usually be completed within only 1-2 office visits.

One of the more aesthetic concerns for people over the last 10-15 years is stained or yellowing teeth.  If this is a concern of yours, we can help you achieve whiter teeth and a brighter smile with what is considered the most effective method available today.  You can regain a confident smile with minimal time in our office through the use of our teeth whitening system.

Working with a teeth whitening dentist is much more effective than the over the counter kits.  Plus, the results through your dentist will be much faster.

Tooth discoloration can be attributed to:

Our non-invasive treatment is quick and helps restore your smile.  At your next cleaning appointment, we can capture molds to create custom fitted whitening “trays” you wear for an hour during the day.  It is safe, gentle and effective.

We use SureSmile® for our patient’s orthodontic care.  SureSmile® is a system of clear aligners that alleviate the need for metal brackets and wires. SureSmile® can adjust crowded teeth, spacing problems, overbites and midline misalignments.  While some severe cases will require brackets and wires, the clear aligners with SureSmile® can be used in most situations.  The cost and length of treatment are generally comparable.

These clear aligners are removable and nearly invisible.  Most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them.  Since they are easily removable, it allows you to eat as you normally would without having to worry about popping a bracket or changing your diet.

Once your treatment plan is developed, we create your aligners using advanced technology to achieve aligners with smooth edges for ultimate comfort. We digitally scan your teeth, then Dr. Toler partners with the SureSmile® Digital Lab to create an individualized treatment plan that enables your aligners to move your teeth from your first aligner to your last. This process enables predictable results. You will know what to expect and when to come in for check-ins. We know that when clear aligners don’t interfere with your daily routine, that healthy, beautiful smile is more natural.
